This policy explains what data mkdirseo ("we", "us") collects when you use mkdirseo.com and the mkdirseo application, why we collect it, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect what we need to run the service, we don't sell your data, and you can export or delete it.
Data we collect
- Account data — your name, email address, and a hashed password (we never store passwords in plain text).
- Workspace data — the brand domains, competitor domains, prompts, countries, and settings you configure, plus the results we generate from them (AI answers, mentions, citations, reports, suggested articles).
- Billing data — handled by our payment processor, Dodo Payments. We store your subscription plan and status; we never see or store your full card number.
- Usage data — privacy-friendly, cookie-less site analytics (Umami) and operational logs needed to keep the service running.
How we use it
- To run your daily visibility scans and build your reports.
- To send transactional email (verification, password reset, team invites) via our email provider, Resend.
- To bill your subscription and prevent abuse of plan limits.
- To improve the product based on aggregate usage.
Third-party processors
To produce your visibility data we send your prompts (not your account details) to AI model providers, including OpenAI and models accessed via OpenRouter (Perplexity, Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude, and others). Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, transactional email by Resend, and infrastructure by our hosting and database providers. Each processor receives only the data needed for its role.
Data retention & deletion
Your data stays available for as long as your subscription is active. If you cancel, we keep your workspace data accessible for 30 days in case you change your mind, then it becomes eligible for deletion. You can export your data as CSV at any time, and you can request full deletion of your account and data by emailing [email protected].
What we don't do
- We don't sell your personal data.
- We don't use your private workspace data to market to your competitors.
- We don't run invasive cross-site tracking or ad pixels.
